Cannabis repairs DNA

The letter “Dagga stokes arrogance” (People’s Post, 8 August) refers:

Firstly, I am in no way condoning or condemning the Dagga Couple’s actions. Secondly, I can quite honestly say that I have never smoked or even tried cannabis.

The ignorance of this individual, especially regarding cannabis and its use as a treatment for cancer, is quite reckless. From where I’m viewing things, it seems they’re blaming cannabis for their failing as parents.

With all due respect, this person hasn’t a clue what they’re talking about, they obviously haven’t done any research to make such a claim as “there have been no independent studies that prove that dagga cures illnesses such as cancer”.

Cannabis absolutely repairs the DNA, immune system and neural and skeletal/ bone damage, hence it’s so effective as a treatment for conditions such as psychosis, seizures, epilepsy, Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, skeletal conditions, arthritis, sclerosis and all forms of skins conditions.

As for all the other reasons for the supposed “social ills” they seem to blame cannabis for, I found it rather strange they make no mention of chemotherapy and radium treatment, its dangers, damaging the DNA and immune system, killing off good/ healthy cells ... even the medical industry is well aware that if the stats were ever made known of how many people, not just in SA but throughout the world, have died as a result of chemo and radium treatment, it would be nothing short of genocide.

Cannabis is an entirely natural herb, as natural as the air we breathe. Every human possesses cannabis receptors within every cell within our mind/ body, the same cannabis receptors that absorb nutrients from veggies, such as broccoli, carrots, cabbage, spinach, lettuce and rocket salads.

If one considers how our lifestyles have changed, i.e. fast food, GMOs, stress (both at home and work), all of these, energetically anyway, have a direct (negative) effect on our DNA, immune system, mental and physical health, so as far as I can tell.

For society’s sake and for our and our children’s future, cannabis (products) should indeed be a part of it.

In fact, there was a time when cannabis was the base product of all medicines, until the alcohol industry came along.

I composed a cancer paper earlier this year; I hope to do a similar cannabis paper soon. It requires reading at least twice for it to really make sense or understand that cancer is not rocket science, neither is it a death sentence, but, more importantly, cannabis is absolutely, or at the very least, a very good treatment for cancer.
